Spider Hugs is a Gibraltarian-English-Australian band that formed in Beijing 2012. Since its inception, the band's line-up has included Dylan Viñales (vocals), Pete Henderson (keys) and Adrian Leung (bass). The band's current drummer is Richard Wort, from the original German setup, who has been with the band since late 2012. Inspired by all genres of music, the Spider Hugs have been known to reference everything from Muddy Waters to Argentinian folk music to the Big Lebowski. Their biggest hit, 'Ghosts', is an original song written on the rock of Gibraltar. It was on this infamous rock that Henderson was bitten by a spider, hence the band name. Over the course of the band's career, its members became noted for their refusal to adhere to traditional music industry practices, including refusing to make music videos and rarely giving interviews.

The Spider Hugs have played at the Old What Bar, Hot Cat Club as well as Yuyong Yishan as part of the Scream Festival. They plan to release a live recording in the near future.
